Tommy "Spoonie" Lloyd III was a long-time resident of Baton Rouge, LA and native of St. Francisville, LA. He entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the age of 67.

Tommy was born to Beatrice Carter and the late Tommy Lloyd, Jr. on November 17, 1958. Tommy was an exceptional athlete and remained an active member of the baseball, basketball, football, and track teams at St. Francisville High School until his graduation. His dedication and talent were evident in the many trophies and ribbons that lined the shelves at his mother's home. Tommy completed his educational journey at Southern University in Baton Rouge, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. He went on to enjoy a successful career in finance and was employed as an Assistant Manager at City Credit.

Tommy was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching and attending sporting events, especially football. He loved to travel and cherished spending time with his family. Tommy was an active member of Greater Morning Star Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a deacon.

Left to cherish his loving memory are his devoted wife, Ivory; two sons, Tommy, IV (Dallas, TX) and
Robert (Niesha) of New Orleans; three daughters, Lavata (Trovis), Tomeika (Marques), and Nicole,
all of Baton Rouge; his supportive mother, Beatrice Jones (Raymond) of Bains, LA; five sisters,
Karolyn Taylor of Zachary, LA; Dr. Tiffany Lloyd of Dallas, TX; Shunda Young (Greg) of Ruston,
LA; Carla Maris of Long Beach, CA; and Nichelle Payne of Natchez, MS; fourteen grandchildren;
seven great-grandchildren; and a host of loving relatives, including aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Plant a tree: How does it work

When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.

An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.

After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:

January - May

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.

June - December

Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
