James "Jim" Andrew Daily
April 5, 1938 - December 7, 2025
James "Jim" Daily, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the age of 87. He was born April 5, 1938, to M. Lawrence and Alberta Daily in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. James attended Roman Catholic High School and St. Joseph's University. He also served in the United States National Guard and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Jim found great joy in the outdoors, especially through his lifelong hobbies of hunting and fishing. These pastimes provided many cherished memories with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, M. Lawrence and Alberta Daily; sisters, Mary Jane Daily SSJ, Suzy Oakes, and Lynne Atkinson; and brothers, Jerome Daily and Mark Daily. He is survived by his sisters, Kate Ferris, Jeane Bryson, and Adrienne Daily; brother, Michael Daily; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to James' caretaker, Linda Williams, and Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane in Baton Rouge. A memorial Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook or leave a personal note to the family at www.resthavenbatonrouge.com.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
