CHARLES J.
Charles J. Duffy, 83, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, surrounded by his family at St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Charles was born April 27, 1942, in Lilly, Pennsylvania and was the son of the late Thomas A. and Veronica (Bender) Duffy. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas and Francis. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Gena (Neugebauer) Duffy, Pittsburgh, his three sons, Brian (Pittsburgh), Patrick (Washington), and Michael (Pittsburgh), sister-in-law, Audrey Bradley and brothers-in-law, Gerald Neugebauer (Mary Grace) and Terry Neugebauer, and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles was a 1959 graduate of Lilly Washington High School, the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1963, and earned a masters degree from Pitt. He was a U.S. Marine and Veteran of the Vietnam War, and obtained the rank of Captain. Charles was a special agent with the F.B.I., retiring after 24 years served. Following his retirement from the F.B.I., he continued working in the private sector until retiring in 2012. Charles was an avid reader, a history and military enthusiast, enjoyed spending time with family and friends and watching Pittsburgh sports.
Funeral Arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends and family are welcome on Sunday, December 28, 2025, 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, December 29, 2025, 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 126 Fort Couch Rd., Pittsburgh, PA. Committal with Military Honors will be at St. Brigid's Cemetery, Lilly, PA on Monday at 1:30 p.m.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
